What is Schizophrenia
Classified as Psychosis, Schizophrenia is a serious mental illness that affects how a person thinks, feels, and behaves. In this person cannot tell what is real what is not. Person loses the sense of reality. People with schizophrenia may hear internal voices not heard by others or may see things that are not really there. To the person the world may seem like a web of confusing thoughts, images, and sounds. Sickness may come in episodes. It can be sudden and severe. Some touch with reality may remain and person can live normal life to some extent. Some may suffer to become completely incapable of living independent normal life. It is different from Split Personality. Though anyone can get Schizophrenia, it is more common in 20's and 30's.
